My kids spent an entire afternoon hunting for leaves and flowers to make sun prints, and the results genuinely surprised me with how detailed they came out. The kaleidoscope building was a bit tricky for my 6-year-old, but she loved the clay sculpting part, so it’s a great mix of challenge and fun.
The kaleidoscope actually works, which blew my six-year-old away—she spent a solid hour twisting it and shouting at the colors. Clay and sun prints were a nice bonus, but that one piece alone justified the price.
The sun prints were the highlight—we laid out leaves and flowers and watched them fade onto the paper in about ten minutes. The kaleidoscope took a bit of patience to build, but my seven-year-old was thrilled when it actually worked. We've already planned our next backyard hunt for tomorrow.
