Getting the four-speed manual to shift through every gear with a real reverse was so satisfying, my inner mechanic geeked out completely. Snap-together meant zero glue and zero frustration, even when I rebuilt it twice for fun.

The reverse gear actually works, which blew my mind for a snap-together kit. My kid and I spent a whole afternoon messing with the four-speed shifter and it clicks through every gear just like a real manual.

Putting together the four-speed manual transmission was a satisfying challenge, and seeing it actually function with the reverse gear felt like a real achievement. The snap-together design held up perfectly during my first test run.
