My kids are 11 and 13, and they fought over who got to be the Ruler first—the role-play aspect really hooked them right away. The spin-off mechanics keep the same fun of the original but add a magical kingdom twist that feels fresh. We've already played three rounds tonight and nobody's bored yet.

The artwork on the kingdom cards is gorgeous, and the "ruler" roleplay really gets my 12-year-old's imagination going. Setup is quick enough that we've already played three rounds tonight, and I love that it's a fresh twist on the classic Cover Your game mechanics.
